{"id":3193,"date":"2011-10-06T18:51:25","date_gmt":"2011-10-07T02:51:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/firechannel.org\/blog\/?p=3193"},"modified":"2011-10-06T18:51:25","modified_gmt":"2011-10-07T02:51:25","slug":"stanley-ave-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/firechannel.org\/blog\/?p=3193","title":{"rendered":"Stanley Ave. Fire"},"content":{"rendered":"ngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n<p>On September 27<sup>th<\/sup>, 2011 at approximately 9:00 AM, units from the Long Beach Fire Department responded to an apartment fire on the 1000 block of Stanley Ave.\u00a0 Long Beach Fire Engine 4 responded within four minutes to the fire at a two-story, duplex building.<\/p>\n<p>Engine 4 immediately pulled multiple hose lines to execute an aggressive interior attack of the fire.\u00a0 Other firefighters assisted in the extinguishing efforts and the fire was declared knocked-down in five minutes.\u00a0 These swift actions made it possible to quickly extinguish the fire.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After the fire was extinguished fire officials determined that only the involved unit sustained fire and smoke damage.\u00a0 The occupants of that unit were able to evacuate safely before the Fire Department\u2019s arrival and only one female patient received minor injuries to her hands as a result of this fire.\u00a0 She was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.\u00a0 The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Long Beach Fire Department, Fire Investigators.<\/p>\n<p>One family was displaced as a result of this incident.\u00a0 The Red Cross was notified for possible sheltering needs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 On September 27th, 2011 at approximately 9:00 AM, units from the Long Beach Fire Department responded to an apartment fire on the 1000 block of Stanley Ave.\u00a0 Long Beach Fire Engine 4 responded within four minutes to the fire at a two-story, duplex building.
