On Halloween day 2011, The Long beach Fire Department (LBFD) stopped by Miller\u2019s Children\u2019s Hospital at Long Beach Memorial for their annual LBFD Kids Halloween visit.\u00a0 This year there were about 23 Firefighters both on and off duty that came down to take the children of Miller\u2019s \u201cTrick or Treating.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
All of the children from the hospital were dressed up in their best costumes as they walked throughout the entire hospital for candy and treats.\u00a0 There were also\u00a0an array of spooky rooms setup by the hospital staff that the children could walk through.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This is just one of many LBFD Kids visits to the Miller\u2019s Children\u2019s Hospital throughout the year to help make the young patients stay more enjoyable. The LBFD Kids program is now in it\u2019s 13th year and continues to bring smiles to the faces of many of the\u00a0children\u00a0who are\u00a0treated at Miller’s.\u00a0 This program\u00a0remains a success due to the continued efforts of Captain Greg Curiel, the Miller\u2019s Children\u2019s Hospital staff, and all of the volunteers from the Long Beach Fire Department.\u00a0 Thank you to all for another great event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
