{"id":63,"date":"2008-07-08T13:53:14","date_gmt":"2008-07-08T21:53:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/firechannel.org\/blog\/?p=63"},"modified":"2008-07-08T19:47:09","modified_gmt":"2008-07-09T03:47:09","slug":"long-beach-fire-department-profiled-in-community-redevelopment-agency-newsletter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/firechannel.org\/blog\/?p=63","title":{"rendered":"Long Beach Fire Department Profiled in Community Redevelopment Agency Newsletter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) and the Community Redevelopment Agency (RDA) have formed a partnership that will improve fire-ground safety, efficiency,\u00a0help save lives, decrease injuries, and save property.<\/p>\n<p>As the\u00a0RDA acquires properties that are scheduled for demolition to make way for community improvements, they have allowed LBFD crews to perform multiple types of drills on &#8220;Real&#8221; structures, so in the event of an actual emergency they will be better prepared.<\/p>\n<p>While the LBFD training staff has constructed many different types of simulated &#8220;props&#8221; and crews have improvised on how drills are conducted.
