LBFD Kids Christmas Visit
By Jackawa Jackson | December 18, 2009
Once again on the morning of December 18, 2009, men and women from the Long Beach Fire Department participated in the annual LBFD kids Christmas visit to Miller’s Children’s Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Clause were on hand to give out toys, goodies and spread holiday cheer to a great group of kids who are having a very hard time. There were plenty of smiles to go around and lots of joy brought into the hospital rooms. The visit always begins with firefighters and other volunteers stuffing bags full of holiday treats and loading them in wagons for delivery. There were actually two Santa’s on hand, which allowed children from different wings of the hospital to enjoy the festivities at the same time!
