Car Fire in Detached Garage

A little after 2pm on Tuesday, March 23rd, a call was made to the Long Beach Fire Department for reports of smoke coming from a garage. Units were dispatched to the corner or Gundry Avenue and Tehachapi Drive, and once on scene they noticed heavy, black smoke coming from the detached garage. Engine 11 was on scene first and reported the conditions to incoming units. They mounted an aggressive fire attack and along with Truck 11, Engine 12 and Engine 9, the fire was knocked down quickly and confined to the garage only.
