On the morning of July 15th at 4:34am a call came in for possible garage fire on the 1900 block of Myrtle Ave. in Mid-town Long Beach. Engine 7 was the first unit on scene and noticed flames coming from a dumpster in the alley rear of the apartment complex. They made and aggressive fire attack from the alley and found the flames had extended into a 2 car garage. Units arriving to assist were able to contain it to the garage and there was no other damage to the adjoining apartments. E3, E10, T7, R10, BC1, PIO4 were all the other units involved. There were no injuries to fire crews or occupants, and Arson investigators were called.
