Whether it’s saving lives or protecting property, firefighters can take the heat, but what about in the kitchen?  America will be surprised to learn that the very people we rely on to keep us safe in times of emergency are also skilled cooks.

Join Long Beach City Firefighter/Paramedic Eddie Sell as he takes us on an exclusive guided tour of the famed firehouses of Southern California. Both a seasoned pro and a young rebel, Eddie has a style all his own.  Witness firefighters as you’ve never seen them before and hear the tales of action and adventure direct from the people who have lived them.

For a half an hour each week Eddie will deliver a genuine firehouse specialty.  Whether it’s his own recipe or that of a colleague, you won’t want to miss this debonair hero’s relaxed approach to food preparation, easy to replicate, and sure to please the palette.

Visit the actual fire stations that these brave ones call home, where they eat, sleep, and work.  See firsthand how their relationships are bound by affection and trust.  The ties that comedic anecdotes spin in the confidence of firehouse kitchens.  All the while, chefs serve up action on a hot plate just for you.

In the show’s pilot episode Eddie offers his savory original recipe for a quick and tasty firehouse favorite, blackened chicken fajitas, with a cilantro-lime marinade served with rice and beans.  He shows you how the meal is chosen, the shopping process, meal preparation, and joins real on-duty firefighters to enjoy the meal.  The adventure continues when future episodes hit the road to explore new locations and discover other great recipes from more firehouse chefs.

Watch real heroes show us that when your life is on the line any meal can be your last. So it better be pretty darn good!

Show times and channels to be announced.
