Early Morning Vehicle Extrication In North Long Beach

On the morning of Sunday, February 22, Long Beach Fire Department units were called to 6020 Long Beach Blvd. for a report of an injury traffic accident with a trapped victim.  Upon arrival they found a 22 year old male pinned in the passenger seat of a late model, 4 door sedan.  The male driver had managed to climb from the wreckage without injury.  It took firefighters 10 minutes to cut the passenger from the car.  He was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.  The driver was not transported.  There were no other drivers involved in this accident and the cause is under investigation. There were no other injuries to citizens or firefighters.
