Water Vac On the East Side

By Jackawa Jackson | February 2, 2009

Personnel from E17, T19 and T14 responded to flooding at 1801 Termino Ave caused by a 3/4″ copper pipe in a 4th floor bathroom wall separating from a soldered joint.

Personnel shut off the domestic water to the 4-story building, located the source of the problem, and removed water until the building manager contracted the service of a commercial salvage company.

The flooding was concentrated in the hallway of the first floor and seeped into some apartments under the doors.  Building management contacted a plumber who was en route to repair the fitting.  Building management was making arrangements for accommodations for residents who felt their apartments were uninhabitable.
