ITA at Carson and Bellflower

This morning at 8:25, LBFD responded to a 2 vehicle ITA at Carson and Bellflower. This head on collision resulted in a single trapped victim. This 49 y/o woman was stable, but suffered from a compound right ankle fracture, total body pain, and other cuts. T19 was called in to pop a door and remove the B post as the victim was quickly removed and transported to Memorial. In the course of the accident, a basset hound riding in the car was seriously injured. The husband of the woman arrived on scene and took the animal to a nearby vet for treatment. The animal’s current condition is unknown. The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured and detained by PD.
