Strike Team To The Humboldt Fire

Strike Team 1322A departed Long Beach for the Humboldt Incident at approximately 1730 hrs. on June 12th. Incident Information from Cal Fire:

Location: Hwy 32 & Humboldt Rd on Stillson Canyon  
Acres Burned: 23,163 acres  
Containment 45% contained – 23,162 acres  
Structures Destroyed: 74 residences have been destroyed and 20 have been damaged. 8 outbuildings have also been destroyed.  
Evacuations: Centerville road is restricted access. Precautionary evacuations of the southern most portion of Paradise, and the communities of Butte Valley and Butte Creek Canyon still in effect.  
Injuries: 8  
Cause: Under Investigation 
Cooperating Agencies: Butte County, CHP, Butte County Sheriff’s Office, Paradise, Chico and PG&E  
Total Fire Personnel: 3,826 (1,574 CAL FIRE)  
Fire crews: 66 (57 CAL FIRE)  
Engines: 521 (84 CAL FIRE)  
Airtankers: 4  
Helicopters: 4  
Dozers: 46 (18 CAL FIRE)  
Water tenders: 53 (1 CAL FIRE)  
Costs to date: $5 million  
Conditions: Eastward spread has been slowed significantly, with a corresponding decrease in threats to Paradise and Forest Ranch.
