3100 East Artesia Structure Fire

Long Beach Fire Department resources responded to the 3100 block of East Artesia Blvd for a reported structure fire at 4:21pm yesterday. On arrival units reported heavy smoke on the second floor of an assisted living facility. The fire was contained to one room and approximately forty residents were evacuated. The structure sustained heavy smoke and water damage requiring residents to be displaced to another facility. Three residents were transported to local hospitals for minor chief complaints. The Long Beach Health Department responded to evaluate the facility.
