Two Separate House Fires Occur In North Long Beach

At approximately 3:25pm on November 12, Long Beach Fire units arrived to find smoke coming from the rear of a house located at 116 Hullet St. The first arriving engine company made an aggressive interior attack and managed to confine the fire to the room of origin. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
At 11:24pm the same evening, fire broke out in another house located at 71 E. 55th St. Rapid response and swift action prevented the fire from spreading to other areas of the house. The cause of this fire is also under investigation.
Approximately 21 firefighters responded to each incident. No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported.
