LBFD CERT Team Float wins award at recent Belmont Shore Christmas Parade

Your Long Beach Fire Department’s CERT Team Float has won the “ORIGINALITY OF DESIGN” award for this year’s entry into the Belmont Shore Christmas Parade.
Built entirely by CERT Team Members, the design of this float evolved into a “Sea-CERT-pent” to keep in line with the 2013 theme of “Christmas by the Sea”. The float featured a green sea serpent with an articulating head and light up eyes. The serpent could be seen snared by a local fisherman sitting atop his row boat. CERT Team Members also rode along on the float.
