On Monday, November 17th at approximately 10 AM , Engine 5 was dispatched with the Los Angeles County Fire Department on an automatic-aid call for an unknown type fire in the city of Hawaiian Gardens.
Engine 5 was the first on scene apparatus, arriving in approximately 3-4 minutes after being dispatched, upon arrival they noticed heavy, black smoke coming from a detached, rear garage (that was converted to a living space) at 22127 S. Ibex Ave. E5 made an aggressive attack on the fire and “knocked Down” the fire before the first LACOFD Engine arrived (about 4 mins later). There was no one at home and no injuries where reported.
